St. Paul’s Church is located in Diu U.T., on the west region of India. Diu was under the rule of Portuguese during the initial period of 16th century. St. Paul’s church decorated with intriguingly processed volutes and shell shaped themes and the superb carved wooden artifact is the most elegant among all Portuguese time churches made in their rule of India. It was constructed in 1961 is blessed to our Lady of Immaculate Conception. The style of architecture resembles Bom Jesus Church in Goa as well which was made by Portuguese. The leading features are, no doubt, Gothic, the wooden panels of the church are considered as one of the finest in craftsmanship of church’s. The St. Paul’s Church, named after St. Paul, the Apostle of Jesus who is also renown by “The Apostle to the Gentiles”, and is most well-known among, lasting and operational church, which is one of the three church’s made by the Portuguese of Diu. It is considered one of the best examples of baroque architecture in India.
